Good Afternoon … firstly my apologies in the delay in posting this Monday Makes for you today.
I knew what I was going to make and it wasnt going to take that long … really it wasnt … well it didnt really … well not until I changed my mind soon after starting and thought “Oh I could do a video on this!’ If only ‘doing a video’ was as quick as ‘making the project you want to video’. It’s not just the shooting of the video but then the editing, captions and saving. Then after all that there’s also the uploading to YouTube!
So while it’s uploading I’ve taken photo’s of the projects, edited said photo’s and now doing up my post and I have a feeling the ‘uploading’ is going to take a wee bit longer than to complete this post!
So this week we are ‘making’ with the Twisty Treats Gift Bags and Petal Parade – both available free during Sale-a-bration with a $90 order and here is the card I have made ….
Now I have to say that I really love how this one turned out and even love the brightness of it! Do you see the polka dot layer? are you wondering what paper or stamp I used? Well it’s neither! I simply cut up one of the Twisty Treat Bags and wrapped it around my Strawberry Slush cardstock and this is the effect you get – love it! I saw it on Shelly Godby’s blog this morning and thought yeah thats another use for the bags! So thanks Shelly!
The card is quite quick and easy with elements from the Twisty Treats Gift Bag kit and Petal Parade – too easy – oh and the Hello Friend comes from the Peachy Keen stamp set.
Now with my second project I wanted to make something with the bags … something a little different and something you’d find useful so I hope I’ve achieved that for you … I’ve made some Twisty Treats Boxed Gift Bags ….
I’ve created a little box to sit inside these Gift Bags so that they will stand up by themselves. I know when I give a gift I like it to stand up proud in its packaging and it really does make it so much easier to photograph!
How cute are these?? I love that they stand up and they are going to be perfect for my Scentsy parties! I started Scentsy when they came to Australia and just love their Warmers, Waxes, Scents and everything else they have. This Bag has a Scentsy Shower Gel inside – fits perfectly!
I’ve been a lover of Scented Candles for a long time and didnt think there’d be a difference in the smell from a traditional candle to the Scentsy Warmers but yes there is … the soot a regular candle puts in the air is astounding and I’m not surprised some say candles/scents give them asthma when its actually to soot not the scent that causes the trouble.
The Gift Bags above and below both have a Scentsy Wax Bar inside – Lilacs & Violets above and Blueberry Cheesecake below …
Oh my … I can just about taste that Cheesecake! It really does smell as it tastes! If you dont believe me let me send you a sample to try for yourself!
I do hope you like what I’ve created today and please be sure to stop by Libby’s blog for her Monday Makes – I do believe it has something to do with Chocolate … oh dear .. cheesecake and chocolate … I do believe I’ve put on weight just typing this post!
Yes we are still waiting for the video to upload .. I’ll have to learn how to get these video’s shorter and uploaded quicker … or maybe just not leave it till the last minute or 30 to do!
I’ll post now and pop back later to upload the video into the post … thanks for you patience and hopefully it will be worth it.
Thanks for stopping by ….
